ANIMAL HEALTH ALERT: Canine Influenza H3N2 diagnosed in local dog in the San Gabriel Valley
K9 Units

Police dogs are a vital element of any law enforcement agency.  These animals provide the ability to more effectively search for and apprehend felony suspects and evidence.  In dangerous situations, police dogs are employed to help preserve the life of the officer.  Our job in veterinary health care is to keep these animals healthy and fit to serve and support our law enforcement agencies.

Animal Emergency Medical Center is actively involved in the medical care required of our hard working K-9 units across the South Bay. These cities include El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Los Angeles Schools, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, and Torrance.  Routine physical exams and more intensive care as necessary are provided to keep these working dogs in peak physical condition to serve our communities.

Animal Emergency Medical Center also provides emergency medical bags to the working dogs of the South Bay Police Departments and co-supports the Long Beach PD.  Dogs are given yearly exams and emergency bags are refreshed twice yearly with supplies and current medicines.
