Jen Iiguchi-Oliver

Practice Manager

Jen has been in the veterinary field for 8 years and has managed a general practice before coming to AEMC. She truly believes in our core value of being respectful, empathetic and compassionate at all times to the pets and the pet parents that come in.

When Jen is not busy working at the hospital, you can find her at home with her husband Mike and her adorable son Kota. She loves to cook and spend time with family and friends.

Valerie Flores

Administration

Valerie has been in the veterinary field for 16 years, working as CSR and administration. Valerie has 2 dogs, Peggie Sue the pug, and Dallas along with her cats Arthur Fonzerelli and chops. In her free time, Valerie enjoys watching football, attending concerts, and spending time with family and friends.

David Martinez

CSR

David has been in the veterinary field for 5 years. He is always striving to learn more about the industry and takes advantage of any opportunity that comes his way. During his free time, David enjoys playing basketball, going to the gym, and traveling.

Jennifer Grice

CSR

Jennifer has been working in the veterinary industry for 22 years, with a mixture of general practice and specialty and emergency. Jennifer makes sure to stay up date on her knowledge by attending various continuing education opportunities in the veterinary field. At home, she is greeted by her kitties Peanut, Butter, and Tommy along with her dog Strawberry Pinknose. In her free time, she enjoys dancing ballet and contemporary ballroom, traveling, camping, Nascar, and of course, cuddling with her fur babies.

Arzoo Shaikh

CSR

Arzoo has been in the veterinary field for 5 years and with each year her passion for industry has only grown stronger. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Health Science but does not plan on stopping there as she aims to further her education in the veterinary world. In her spare time Arzoo enjoys dancing, karaoke, and going to the beach.

Stacey Kaliher

CSR

Stacey has been working in the veterinary field for over a year now. She is currently enrolled in school to further her knowledge in the industry as she has a love of learning. At home, Stacey has her dogs, Speckles and Carl, her cat, Cricket, and tortious, Tucker. Her free time is spent at the beach, Disneyland, and just spending time with her family.

Briana Spindola

CSR

Briana has been in the veterinary field for almost 3 years. She has a full house with her 3 cats and 2 dogs waiting for her when she gets home from work. In her free time, Briana enjoys ceramics, sculpting, and binge-watching Netflix.

Alexis Salgado

CSR

Alexis is new to the veterinary world having 2 months in the industry. She plans on furthering her knowledge by going back to school and enrolling in veterinary based courses. One day she hopes to become a veterinarian herself! In her free time, she can be found dancing, hiking, and playing board games.

Katrina Hall

CSR

Katrina has been at AEMC for 1.5 years, but has been in client service for over 15 years. In her free time, Katrina enjoys reading, spending time with her cat, sewing, and watching movies with her family.

Rebecca Verdusco

Support Staff

Rebecca has been in the veterinary field for over 15 years. At home her 3 beautiful dogs wait for her, Vicelia, Herbie, and Pookie. Her free times consists of sewing, playing pool, and spending time with her family and friends.

Toni Vitalich

RVT Manager

Toni has been in the veterinary industry for 22 years, working general practice and emergency and critical care. She obtained her RVT license in 2010 and now has a special interest in emergency and critical care. Toni has 4 dogs, Dakota (lab/pit x), Marlowe (belgian malinois), Gaia (pit bull), and Magnolia (belgian malinois). Her free time is spent collecting antiques, playing pool, and spending time with her family.

Laura Gomez

RVT, Emergency Department

Laura obtained her BS in biology at Cal State Dominguez Hills and her Registered Veterinary Technician license at Carrington College. Laura has 7 years of experience in a general practice setting and joined Animal Emergency Medical Center in order to pursue her professional interests in emergency medicine and critical care, as well as her special interest in exotic pet medicine.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys running, swimming, watching movies while relaxing with her dogs, going to concerts, and traveling.

Lorraine Gomez

RVT, Emergency Department

Lorraine obtained her BS in biology at Cal State Dominguez Hills and her RVT license at Carrington College. She has been in the veterinary field for 7 years, where she worked in general practice, internal medicine, and emergency. At home, Lorraine has a full house of 4 dogs and a handful of cats. Her spare time is spent running, eating, watching Netflix, and spending time with her children.

Robin Field

RVT, Emergency Department

Robin Field has been a veterinary technician since 1995. She earned her technician’s license in 2004 and continues to serve on the advisory board of Professional Veterinary Assistant School in Orange County. She is currently the coordinator for the AEMC Internal Medicine Department. In this capacity, she works closely with our board-certified internal medicine doctors to provide the personalized care and attention which our patients require. She loves her job AEMC as it gives her chance to bond not only with her patients but also their families.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, Sheldon, gardening, horseback riding, reading and traveling.

Jamie Ross

RVT, Emergency Department

Jamie has been in the veterinary industry for 21 years, during which she attended PVAS and obtained her RVT license in 2010. She especially enjoys working specialty in emergency and internal medicine. She has her chihuahua, Penny Lyn, and yorkie, Hanna waiting for here at home. During her free time, you will find Jamie songwriting, playing the guitar, and spending time with family and friends.

Celia B. Huerta

RVT, Emergency Department

Celia has been working in the veterinary field for 10 years. While working, she attended school to obtain her RVT license in 2013. She hopes to one day extend her knowledge in the industry by specializing in critical care and physical therapy. She has big family waiting at home of dogs, cats, and birds. Her free time consists of Netflix, concerts, swimming, and shopping for all her fur babies.

Robyn Whitmon

RVT, Emergency Department

Robyn has been working in the veterinary field for 24 years, working as a kennel attendant and then a technician. She attended PVAS in order to sit for her RVT exam. She now hopes to specialize in emergency and critical care. At home, Robyn has 2 cats, Dexter and Dodger. You can find Robyn spending her free time playing Bingo, reading, swimming, and spending time with her family.

Beatriz Garcia

Veterinary Assistant

Beatriz has been working in the veterinary industry for 9 years. She attended courses in biomedical science and nursing. She hopes to learn more about cardiology, neo nates, and emergency. She has at home her 2 cats, an orange tabby, Bonesaw, and tortoiseshell, Wednesday.

Cristian Cuellar

Veterinary Assistant

Cristian has been in the veterinary field for 3 years. He hopes to one become a fire fighter and EMT using his knowledge of medicine to help him. Cristian has 3 fur babies, Mona, Canelo, and Choco. During free time, he enjoys weight training, soccer, playing the guitar, hikes, and working on his car.

Ino has been in the veterinary field for 2 years where he hopes to specialize in surgery. He has attended the California Healing Arts Program. Ino has 2 cats, Dash and Retch, whom wait for him to get home from work. During his free time, Ino enjoys spending his time playing basketball.

Jacque Morales

Veterinary Assistant

Jacque has been in the veterinary field for 4 years, working as a receptionist and veterinary technician. She has stayed up to date in the industry by making sure to take classes learning about new medicine and techniques. She has at home her tuxedo cat, Ziggy, and chihuahua/dachshund, Roxy. Her free time is spent playing rugby, surfing, and cooking.

Jamie Nix

Veterinary Assistant

Jamie has been in the veterinary industry for a year with hopes to specialize in emergency and critical care. She attended schooling for veterinary technology and will soon be sitting for her RVT exam. Her fur babies include Sailor, the Pitbull, and Charlie, the cat. During free time, she enjoys archery, bartending, running spartan races, Netflix, and caring for her pets.

Marissa has been in the veterinary field for 8 years where she hopes to be able to specialize in surgery. She has at home her 6-year-old rat terrier fur baby, Roxy. During her spare time, she enjoys working on cars, listening to music, and spending time with friends.

Monica has been in the veterinary field for 10 years. At home awaits her 2 dogs, each 16 years of age, and her cat, 10 years of age. Monica enjoys spending her free time attending concerts, hiking, weightlifting, eating, and beer tasting.

Roxy has been in the veterinary field for 20 years, with a special interest in Internal Medicine and Oncology. At home she has her 2 dogs Maxxis the cockapoo, and Lord Stanely the chihuahua. Roxy enjoys spending her free time working out.

Madison Leeds

Surgery Head Veterinary Assistant, Supervisor

Madison Leeds graduated from Redondo Union High School in Southern California in June 2009, with an interest in Biology and Animal Science. Shortly after graduation, she began her pre-veterinary courses at West Los Angeles College. She completed her freshman year with honors. Shortly after completion, she transferred to Penn Foster Career School in which she will complete Registered Veterinary Technician school, allowing her to sit for her RVT board exam.

In the summer between her freshman and sophomore year, she joined Surgical Group for Animals full time which allowed her the opportunity to further her skills, knowledge, and abilities in veterinary medicine, while working with patients, clients and staff. She hopes to complete RVT school, obtain an RVT license, and apply to Vet school. Madison is the proud parent of her Pitbull, Popeye, and her domestic sshort-hairedcat, Rascal. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, pets, and playing the piano.

Michaela Brannum

Veterinary Assistant

Michaela has been working in the veterinary field for a year. She attended the University of Hawaii with her focus on marine biology. Waiting at home are her 2 Australian Shepards, Bridger and Bandit. Her spare time is spent on scuba diving, playing hockey, and photography.
